VDO / Jaeger Electronic ‘Analogue’ Speedos... As fitted in the following cars...
Porsche, BMW, Mercedes, Volvo, Rolls-Royce* ( *Jaeger with VDO movement )
We offer a limited repair service for certain  VDO  & Jaeger ( VDO movement )  Electronic ‘Analogue’ Speedos...
The most common fault with these units is that the MILEAGE / KM  DISTANCE RECORDER’S (both main & trip)
stop’s working ie. The  
SPEED RECORDER  continues to work ok ... The fault is normally a plastic gear that breaks
( see typical picture of the problem @ top right hand side )...  Should the above be your problem we offer the following...

‘A’... We will supply you with the correct gear* required ( for you to fit yourself )... @ £45 incl p&p
      ‘B’... We will supply & fit the correct gear for you...
@ £150 + p&p  
      ‘C’... We will fit your ‘own gear’...
@  £115 +  p&p
      ‘D’... We will examine your VDO Speedo to confirm that a broken gear is the problem @ £50 + p&p
* Please forward the old gear for identification as several types are fitted... If its the type shown in the above picture
   ( EARLY type with SPADE terminals ) count the number of ‘inner teeth’... this is a combined 2 level gear...
    A popular example is 20 teeth ‘outer’ & 30 teeth ‘inner’... ( ALL EARLY GEARS HAVE 20 TEETH ON THE OUTSIDE )   
   other options are available to establish the number of ‘inner teeth’ if the gear has broken into small pieces... please ask
  various other gears are fitted in later units ( with ‘ROUND PIN’ connections )
 Warranty only given on the gears supplied / fitted ( No warranty on the operation / calibration of the speedo )
ie. other factors can stop the distance recorders working, eg. faulty stepper motor / motor driver circuit etc
